It was with great sadness that the family of Rosemarie R. announces her passing on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the age of 71. Rose was born on November 28, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Elizabeth Rollo.
Rose was a loving mother, wife and friend. She was the Deputy Village Clerk for the Village of Montgomery. Rose was an excellent cook who loved to feed and entertain her family and friends. She loved to watch cooking, game and judge shows on TV. She also loved to gamble and play poker with her dearest friends.
Rose will be lovingly remembered by her husband of over 50 years, David A. Griffith at home; her son David Griffith and his wife, Doreen; niece, Julia; her two special “grandchildren”, Justin and Sara and their parents, Sean and Theresa; her dog, Bozley; grand-fur-baby, Molly, along with several loving cousins and cherished friends. She will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation from 6-9 PM on Friday, November 16th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, November 17th at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grateful Doggies Rescue Retreat, 560 Route 17M, Middletown, NY 10940.
