James D. Terwilliger of Maybrook, NY passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The son of the late James and Cecelia Terwilliger, he was born on February 17, 1934 in Wallkill, NY. He was 82 years old. James was employed as a heavy equipment operator and driver for RCM in Marlboro, NY and a member of the Maybrook Fire Dept.
Survivors are his son, James D. Terwilliger, Jr. and his wife Bernette Gillespie of Walden; daughter, Linda Terwilliger of Maybrook; grandchildren: Jason Riggins and Lynn Barrett; several great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Strack of New Windsor; former spouse, Nancy Snyder of Maybrook, and several nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debra Terwilliger.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Saturday, November 19th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden Humane Society.
