Obituary of James E. O'Delle Sr.

James E. O’Dell, Sr. of Walden, NY passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, NY. The son of the late Carl and Clara O’Dell he was born on August 20, 1946 in Salisbury Mills, NY. He was 70 years old. Jim was an Army veteran during the Vietnam era. He was employed for 39 years as a lineman for Frontier Telephone Co., Monroe, NY. He was an avid sports watcher and loved country music. Survivors are his longtime companion, Frances Rinaldi of Maybrook; sons: James O’Dell, Jr. and his wife, Tara of Walden and Lance O’Dell of Walden; brothers: Ronald, Joseph Ernie, Carl, Roger and Calvin O’Dell; grandchildren: Taylor, Payton and Kole. He was predeceased by his brothers, Bill and George and his sister, Alice. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, December 1st at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
