Mary F. Palestro of Walden, NY passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at home. The daughter of the late Louis Radford and Willie Mae Bentley Hollingsworth, she was born on April 9, 1929 in Anniston, Ala. She was 87 years old. Mary was employed as a seamstress for Antone Dress Co. and a member of the Freedom Road Bible Church. She was the widow of the late Vincent J. Palestro.
Survivors are her daughter, Linda Gillespie; sons: Michael Edward Mayne, Vincent G. Palestro, Louis Marion Mayne, and Christopher D. Palestro; brothers: Charles W. Hollingsworth and Kenneth W. Hollingsworth; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Roy Hollingsworth and sisters, Naomi Poss and Betty Shaddix.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 on Sunday, November 27th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 28th at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
