Samuel J. Fratto of Maybrook, NY passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Highland Nursing Home, Middletown, NY. The son of the late Frank and Vincenzia Buffa Fratto, Sr., he was born on November 3, 1923 in Maybrook, NY. He was 95 years old. He was the owner of Sam’s Bar & Grill in Maybrook and honorably served in the Coast Guard during WW II.
Sam is survived by his son, Samuel Fatto of Port Richie, FL; daughters: Patricia Collins and her husband, Richard of Suffern and Susan Gannon of Glendale, AZ; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, Joyce Fratto, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tina Reed; brothers, Vincent, Joseph and Frank and sisters, Rosemary, Theresa and Catherine.
A visitation will be held from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday, November 17th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
