Carl J. “Jack” Dawkins, Jr., of Stone Ridge, NY formerly of Maybrook, NY, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston, NY. The son of the late Carl and Edna Secker Dawkins, he was born on January 14, 1934 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was 82 years old. He was the widower of the late Janice I. Dawkins. Carl was an employee of Aerolift, West Caldwell, NJ and a member of the New Paltz VFW.
Survivors are his son, Vic Ison and his wife, Tracy of Wantage, NJ; daughters: Kelly Leahey and her husband, Raymond and Marcy Mongelluzzo and her husband, Vincent both of Stone Ridge; sister, Ruth Hester of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren: Salvatore, Joseph, R.J., Owen, Caleb, Jocelyn, Anja and Ethan; nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-8 PM on Wednesday, December 28th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be at 8 PM following the visitation. Cremation will be in the Cedar Hill Crematory; Newburgh, NY
