Obituary of Joseph A Nemia

Joseph (Joe) A. Nemia of Walden, NY passed away on January 8, 2025. He was 94 years old. Joe was born on July 5, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank Nemia and Caterina Caracciola. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joe received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from NYU. He was a member of Secured Finance Network formerly known as the Commercial Finance Association. He was a Commercial Finance Executive for various financial institutions throughout his 40+ year career. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Parish Walden. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Rosemarie Nemia ; daughters, Catherine Rose Nemia-Leudesdorff and Susan Rose Nemia-Sokolowski (Steve); sons, Francis J. Nemia (Patricia), Joseph F. Nemia (Lynn) and Thomas J. Nemia (Linda); grandchildren, Francis, Matthew, Joseph, Peter, James and Elizabeth Rose; several nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his parents; seven brothers and sisters as well as his granddaughter Mary Catherine. Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
