Marcus G. Bennett of Montgomery, NY passed away suddenly on October 24, 2024. He was 26. Marcus was born in Harlem, N.Y. on July 1, 1998 to Oliver G. Bennett and Elaine Ferguson. He was Chemical Lab Technician or Sun Chemical Corp in Peekskill, NY. Marcus loved sports and his family. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Marcus is survived by his parents at home; daughter, Ellie Bennett of New Paltz; brothers, David Bennett of Montgomery and Rodrick Bennet of St. Vincent, Grenadines; sisters, Shanneka Sanchez (Carlos) of Walden and Stacey Ann Bennett of St. Vincent, Grenadines; maternal grandfather, Roy Ferguson of Florida; maternal great grandfather, Herbert Wilson of Jamaica; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Fenton and Valerie Bennett; maternal great grandmother, Melita Wilson.

In lieu of flowers friends may make contributions to the family.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 8, 2024 from 1-4 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.

Burial will be held at a later date in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, RTE 52, Walden, NY.
