James "Jimmy" DeMilo of Maybrook, passed away on July 3, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 83. James was born on December 2, 1940 in White Plains, NY to the late James E. DeMilo and Gertrude Heitzman. He was married to Frances D. Renaldi DeMilo. Jimmy was a Taxi driver for Maybrook Taxi for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and served his local community as past Commander of the Maybrook VFW Post 2064. He was also Past President of the Orange County Veterans Coalition and served as Trustee for the NYS Veterans. He is survived by his wife Frances at home; sisters, Betty Pretore of Florida and Donna DeMilo of Florida; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Diane. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586 Prayer Service at 8PM following the visitation. Cremation will be private. Contributions may be made to the Maybrook VFW in Jimmy's memory.
