Alicia L. Maloney of Poinciana, FL, formerly of Montgomery NY, passed away at her home in Florida on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The daughter of William and Frances “Dot” Boyle Adebahr, she was born on July 28, 1950 in the Bronx, NY. She was 73 years old. Alicia was a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh, NY and Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. She was the widow of Donald “Moe” Maloney.
Survivors are her twin sister, Madelyn Dowd (Edward), of Queens, NY and their son, Matthew (Jennifer); stepdaughter, Maureen Vetro and her significant other, Mario D’Amato, of Walden, NY; stepson, James Maloney (Rosie) of Lindenhurst, NY; grandchildren: Antoinette, Jason, Caitlyn, Marissa, and Kristine; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald “Moe” Maloney; her sons, Jesse and Todd; brothers, Eric “Ricky” and
Edward; and her sister, Margaret.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19th from 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Prayer service to follow at 8 PM. Interment of her cremains will be on Thursday, June 20th at 10:30 AM in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
