John W. LIgnowski of Walden, NY passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The son of the late John T. and Catherine Mical Lignowski, he was born on January 19, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He was 69 years old. John was a glazer and owner of Star Glass, Walden, NY. He was a member of the Freedom Road Bible Church and spread the word of God. He attended the adult day care at Elant in Newburgh.
John is survived by his wife, Rosemarie “Cookie” Dritto Lignowski at home; son, John Paul “JP” Lignowski of Walden; daughter Niccole Lignowski and her companion, Jon B. Benz of Kingston. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his bothers, Bernard and Robert D. Lignowski.
A visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Tuesday, January 17th at the Freedom Road Bible Church, Walden. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 18th at the Freedom Road Bible Church. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
