Hello, I met Stephen when I was a French au pair in Boston. It was in 1997. We never saw each other again but I hoped to be able to see him again during my visits to the USA. Stephen was adorable and patient during our discussions (not always easy when you don't speak the language). We laughed a lot. I am really sorry for your lost . I will keep the image of Stephen as someone caring and kind. I offer my deepest condolences to his family. Tender thoughts from France

He loved the beach and collecting seashells, building sand castles, flying kites, and just sketching in the sand. He said sketching in the sand is like making sand castles on the beach. Good for a few moments…until someone steps on your creation.

I will never forget the fun times we had as kids at the top of Wait Street. Whether it was hiking through the woods with our BB guns, playing football or ice skating (aka: breaking the ice to see who would fall in first!) at Clay Pond... we all got along and always had fun. Stephen was always the thinker and the voice of reason when ever we planned on doing something stupid and I will always remember him for being the kind-hearted kid. The Flickenschild family was always the family to be admired for the love they showed to others and how they cared for each other. Stephen's memory will remain with us and may God watch over and comfort the entire family during this time of grief.

Although I only worked with Steve a few times over the phone, he was very friendly, helpful, patient, and he clearly cared about his work as an architect. He was loved and respected by his co-workers and I wish I had been able to learn more from him.

So many memories come to mind. When I think of my childhood, ALL, the Flickenschild’s pop up! He was the youngest, “Ste”, I remember calling him that! Then he was all gown up and looked just like his Dad! So kind, funny, smart just the best! So sorry he was taken too soon. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love, Dawn
