Stephen Fickenschild of Ellington, CT, formerly of Walden, passed away on February 24, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT. He was 52. Stephen was born on September 25, 1971 in Middletown, NY to Conrad W. and Lynn M. Flickenschild. He was an Architect employed by Thomas Douglas Architects in North Hampton Massachusetts and was licensed in five states. He loved his family, friends and a day at the beach. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his wife; Joy Andrews Davis Flickenschild; parents Conrad and Lynn Flickenschild; son, Andrew Flickenschild; daughter, Autumn Flickenschild; faithful companion Dandy; brother, Bill Flickenschild (Missy) of Milford, PA; sisters, Dawn Stewart (Basil) of Walden, NY and Tammy Sawyer (Jason) of Burlingham; several in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.
Funeral Services will held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at 10 AM at the Walden Baptist Church 28 Bank Street, Walden, NY.
Burial of ashes will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY
Fellowship and refreshments at the church to follow services.
Contributions may be made to the family to be used at their discretion.
