Barbara A. Prentice of Wallkill, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The daughter of the late James and Florence DeGregorio Ward, she was born on August 24, 1947 in Cornwall, NY. She was 69 years old. Barbara was an advocate for the handicapped at AHRC, Newburgh, NY.
Survivors are her son, Stephen Kaarlsen of Idaho; daughters: Nicole LaFrance and her husband, Kevin of Plattekill, and Holly Parker and her husband, Robert of Maybrook; grandchildren: Hunter, Kiarra, Quinn, Jaela and Maraya.
A visitation will be held from 3-6 Pm on Saturday, January 21st at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will begin at 6 PM following the visitation. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Maybrook VFW to which all are welcome. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Senior Center Luncheon Program.
