Maureen A. McNamee of Walden, NY passed away peacefully at her home on February 18, 2024 with her family. She was 88. The daughter of the late Patrick Joseph and Maryann Gallagher Curran, she was born on June 7, 1935 in Bronx, NY. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Church in Walden. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Brendan McNamee (Evelyn) of Colorado and James McNamee (Jennifer) of Long Island; daughters, Peg Hall (Jim) of Walden, Maureen “Moe” Brown (George) of Montgomery, Mary Kate McNamee of Walden, Joanne McNamee of Walden and Liz Walsh (Bill) of Rock Tavern; brother, Herc Izquierdo of New Mexico; sisters, Roseann Maguire of Delaware, Kathleen Walsh of California, Sheila Glynn of Connecticut and Geraldine Marakovitz of Florida; Twenty-Six grandchildren; Thirty-Six great grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Maureen was predeceased by her parents; husband Brendan; sons, John and P.J. McNamee; granddaughter, Megan; great grandson, Austin; sisters, Sharon and Ellen; brother, Patrick.

Visitation will be held on Sunday February 25, 2024 from 2-4 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Church of the Most Precious Blood, 42 Walnut St. Walden, NY 12586.
