Theodora “Tedi” Eversley, originally of Newark, NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Middletown, NY. The daughter of the late Theodore Thomas Sr. and the late Rose May Thomas, she was born on September 6, 1927 in Newark, NJ. She was 96 years old.
Tedi was distinguished by her determination and compassion. At the age of 65, she received her Bachelor’s Degree Magna Cum Laude from City College of New York. She retired as an administrative assistant at New York Medical College in Manhattan.
Tedi is survived by her son Paul Eversley (Eileen) of Scotia, NY; her grandchildren Quantrill (Christina), Fernandez, and Lauren (Josh); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Glen; grandson, Eric; and brothers and sisters, Theodore, Edward, Cleo, Alice, Marlene, and Ruthie.
Her family extends their thanks to Darla, Kim, Colleen, and the staff at Middletown Park for the care and kindness extended to Tedi and her family.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Fairmont Cemetery, Newark, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
