Teresa May passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The daughter of the late Vincent Miserendino and Virginia Starvaggi Miserendino, she was born on February 9, 1960 in Manhattan, NY. She was 63 years old. Teresa is survived by her husband, Allan W. May, of Wallkill, NY; her mother, Virginia, of Florida; two sons, Christopher of Wallkill, NY and Anthony of New Hampshire; two daughters, Antonette of Marlboro, NY and Theresa of New Hampshire; as well as nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Teresa’s heart was as big as the outdoors. A caterer and missionary, she demonstrated her compassion and generosity by giving her time and money to her family and those less fortunate. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 11 am at Northeast Gateway to Freedom, 104 Broadway, Newburgh, NY. A burial will immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Route 9W, Newburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Gateway to Freedom, PO Box 2187, Newburgh, NY 12550 or online at northeastgatewaytofreedom.org. Please include “Teresa May” in the memo of your contribution, with all proceeds going toward funeral expenses.
