Thomas Darrigo of Newburgh, NY passed away on January 28, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. The son of the late Mariano and Josephine Anozolone Darrigo, he was born on April 27, 1921 in Newburgh, NY. He was 95 years old. He was the widower of the late Theresa DiBerardino. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Tom was the founder of Darrigo Bros. Landscape Supplies and was a depression farmer. He was a devoted family man who always put his family first. Tom is survived by his sons, Daniel Darrigo (Sandy) of Newburgh, James Darrigo (Rose Marie) of Walden; daughter-in-law, Melissa Darrigo of Newburgh; grandchildren, Christopher Darrigo, Christina Darrigo (Jimmy Fabrizio), Kenneth Darrigo Jr., Alexis Mitchetti (Michael); great grandchildren, Hailey Mitchetti and Trevor Mitchetti; nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Theresa; son, Kenneth Sr.; infant daughter, Rose; six brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 6-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1250 NY-32, Plattekill, NY 12568. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
