Patricia Holly Johnston of Montgomery and a lifelong resident of the Orange County passed away at Garnet Health Medical on August 1, 2026. She was 97 years old. Patricia was born on May 28, 1929 in Newburgh, NY to the late Walter Dickinson and Myrtle Gorton. She was the widow to the late Donald Johnston. Patricia was a dedicated homemaker. She was an active member of the Cornwall Baptist Church and was a longtime Choir Director. She was also a member of the Maranatha Church in Cornwall. Patricia was a member of the Newburgh Historical Society and the Christian Womens Organization. She owned and operated the Early Settler Bed and Breakfast and the Deja Vu Vintage Clothing store. She was an active member of the Business and Professional Women of Orange County. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.


She is survived by her sons, Matthew Johnston of Montgomery, NY and Christopher Johnston and wife Victoria of Lehman Pennsylvania; daughter, Rebecca Johnston of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Samantha Arciuolo and husband John, Seth Johnston, Eric Johnston and Brendan Johnston; great grandchildren, Rowan and Hayden.


She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Johnston; son, Mark Johnston; sister, Ellen McFaraland and her parents.


Services will be private at the descretion of the family.
