Richard A. Odendahl Sr. of Godeffroy NY passed away with his family by his side on May 10, 2026. He was 71. Richard was born on November 23, 1954 to the late Alvin Odendahl and Mildred Hepper in Newburgh, NY. He was a Mason for many years in the Hudson Valley. He was married to Linda S. Varcoe Odendahl. Rich was a member of the Wallkill Fire Deparment, Walden/Orange Hose Fire Company, Cuddebackville Fire Department. He loved the Orange County Speedway. He would do anything for his family and will be dearly missed by them.

He is survived by his wife Linda at home; sons, Richard Odendahl (Jessica) of Port Jervis, Anthony Odendahl (Jill) of Honesdale; brothers, John Odendahl of Wurtsboro and Alvin Odendahl of Waddington; sister, Patricia "Patti" Pittman of Tenn.; grandchildren, Ashley, Kayleigh, Richard III, Isabella, Caleb and Lydia; nieces and nephews.

Rich was predeceased by his siblings, Thomas, Sandy, Barbara and Lori.

A celebration of life will be held on June 13, 2026 at 3 pm at the Walker Valley Fire House.
