Carmen M. Martinez of Walden, NY passed away on March 8, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 80 years old. Carmen was born on January 9, 1946 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to the late Luis Manuel Rivera and Jovita Oyola. She was the widow to the late Raul Martinez Sr. Carmen was part of the staff at the Montgomery Nursing Home and Rehab. for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Raul Martinez Jr. of Walden; daughters, Carmen Oyola of Pine Bush, Luz Oyola of Walden and Virginia Oyola of Utah; brother, Feliz Rivera; sisters, Miriam Lopez, Selena Oyola, Julie Oyola and Evelyn Oyola; several grandchildren.

Carmen was predeceased by her husband Raul Martinez Sr.; siblings, Cordelia Oyola, Wiso Rivera and Armando Rivera.

Cremation and burial of her ashes will be held privately at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
