Dawn M. Smith of Maybrook, passed away peacefully at home with her family on April 4, 2026. She was 56. Dawn was born on February 27, 1970 to the late Richard Caudy and Donna Cornish in Newburgh, NY. She was married to Alfred E. Smith. Dawn was most a Operations Manager for Staples Distribution in Montgomery most recently and a manager at other firms throughout her career. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Dawn is survived by her husband Alfred at home; children, Luke R. Smith at home, Savannah E. Smith at home and "Courage" at home; sisters, Stacey Kernahan of Rock Tavern, Christianne "Cricket" Popper of Maybrook; brother, Jason Riggins of Walden; niece and nephews; Richie Popper, Fallyn Popper-Kulp and Joey Hartman.

She was predeceased by her father, Richard Caudy.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday April 9, 2026 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.

Memorial Contributions may be made to a local Humane Society of one's choice.
