Janet E. Ballard of Syracuse, formerly of the area passed away peacefully on Thursday February 5, 2026 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. She was 68. Janet was born on May 18, 1957 in Ellenville, NY to the late Edgar Allen Sr. and Evelyn Fanuiel. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her longtime companion Russell, Newell; sons, Courtney T. Kendrick (Lori) of Walden, Timothy Kendrick (Elizabeth) of Wurtsboro; brothers, Randy Fanuiel of Syracuse and Tyrone Allen of California; grandchildren, Zack, Olivia, Jillian, Ariana and Sincere; great grandchildren, Amelia and Keirra ; several nieces and nephews.

Janet was predeceased by her siblings; Laverne Everett, Brenda Embry and Tyrice Allen.
