Shirley M. Weller Bennett 96, a longtime resident of Walden, NY passed away on January 20, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1929 in Narrowsburg, NY, daughter to the late Edward W. Beardsley and Ethel Miller Beardsley.
Shirley was employed with the Thruway Market in Walden for over 25 years. She belonged to several organizations including the Enterprise Steamer Ladies Auxillary of Walden, Walden Seniors, Silverado Steppers Line Dancing and delivered meals for Walden and Montgomery Nutrition sites.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Laurie Gesso; three wonderful sons, Jeffrey Weller (Linda), Lynn Weller (Louise) and Jay Weller (Cheryl); grandchildren, Neil Weller, Jamie Ringley (David), Lindsay Rizzo (Mike), Christina Sirois, JV Weller, Michael Gesso, Katelyn Pasquino (Frank), Lauren Mythen (John), Carolyn Frawley (Doug), great grandchildren, Isabella, Max, Savannah, Chase, Asher, Maelys, Jett, Eloise and Nicholas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, John N. Weller and Earl Bennett; sisters, Ruthann Kozlik (Charles) and Patricia Conception; brothers, Edward and Lewellyn Beardsley; son, John E. Weller; granddaughter, Jenna Weller; great grandson, Logan Weller; little dog Nickie who was the love of her life.
