Marie C. Ferraro of Greenville, formerly of Maybrook passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 7, 2025. She was 96 years old. Marie was born in Newburgh, NY on September 17, 1929 to the late Alexander Giammattei and Mary Ochiette. She was the widow to the late Frank J. Ferraro. Marie was her own person and lived life on her own terms. She could identify with every walk of life and could easily speak to anyone. Those who were lucky enough to know her all loved her. A kind heart, the best laugh, the best stories and loved a good spicy joke. She is loved and missed beyond words.

Marie is survived by her son, Thomas A. Ferraro (Theresa) of Dingmans Ferry, PA; daughter, Michele M. Ferraro (Ray S. Pantel) of Greenville, NY; brothers, Alexander Giammattei (Rose), Vincent Giammattei (Carina) and Patricia Puglielle; grandchildren, Ashley Furegno (RJ), Frank Ferraro (Brie), Alexandria Avanzato, Taylor Hwang (Greg), Alyssa Avanzato-Carlon (Ryan); great grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Robbie, Adalynn, Roman, Winston and Kendall; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank J. Ferraro; siblings, Anthony "Sonny" Giammattei, Michalena "Betty" Lozier, Florence Mazzie, Rose Hunter, Thomas Giammattei and Lorraine Barr.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all her caregivers. A special thank you to Lika and Bonnie who loved and took care of her along with her family. They would also like to thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan for extraordinary care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2025 at 11 AM at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church 89 Union Street Montgomery, NY 12549
