Lawrence James Earl of Newburgh, NY passed away on September 22, 2025 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 82. Lawrence was born on January 10, 1943 in Newburgh, NY to the late George Earl and Cecilia Ruschke. He worked as a Parts Specialist at Gallagher Truck Center in Newburgh and then Campbell Freightliner in Montgomery. He served in the Army Reserves. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Melanie Earl at home; sons, David Earl (Gina) of Wallkill and Daniel Earl (Lisa) of New Jersey; daughter Linda Medley (Wally) of Florida; step-son, Sean Honahan (Ive); Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Lawrence was predeceased by his brothers, George and Fred Earl; sisters, Jane Koch and June Egan and his parents.
Cremation and Services will be private.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hudson Valley SPCA.
