Albert William Baxter of Pine Bush, NY passed away on October 9, 2025 at Putnam Hospital, Carmel, NY. He was 89. Albert was born on August 27, 1936 in Newburgh, NY to the late Albert Alfred Baxter and Caroline Irene Curry. He was a contractor and skilled craftsman for most of his lifetime. Albert served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life Joyce E. Kurz and they were married for over 67 years. He found his calling through Prison Ministry throughout the NYS Correctional System for 25 years. He touched many lives and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Joyce at home; son, Albert Baxter II (Denise) of Catskill; daughters, Beth Ann Brainard (Scott) of North Carolina, Dawn Baxter (Gerald Holmes) of North Carolina, Christine Hoek (Roger) of Spring Glen, Cynthia Baxter of Poughkeepsie and Laura Bjork (Matt) of Wisconsin; sisters, Sharon and Carol; twenty one grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Albert was predeceased by his daughter, Doreen Baxter and his parents.
