Bernard "Bernie" P. Schroeder passed away on August 12, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 82. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 18, 1943 to the late Frederick and Eugenia Lasini Schroeder. Bernie was a life member of the Enterprise Steamer Company in Walden. He worked as a plumber for many years for Holbert Plumbing in Walden. He married the love of his life Sandra Jean Osterhoudt Schroeder. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Sandra "Sandy" Schroeder at home; brother, Phillip Schroeder of Florida; sisters, Lucille Reyes of Walden and Claire Bestida of Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Robb and Jason Williams; great grandchildren, Cole Robb and Reese Robb; several nieces and nephews.

Bernie was predeceased by his daughter Donna Henry; brother Frederick Schroeder; sister, Frances Schroeder and Margaret Holzheid.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Bernies memory to the Walden Fire Department.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 10:30 at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Rte 52 Walden, NY.
