David A. “Dave” Griffith
The family of Dave Griffith sadly announces his passing on May 30, 2025, he was 79. Dave was born on October 1, 1945, at Stewart Field, Newburgh, NY.
Dave worked for FCI Otisville as a Painter/Glazier foreman. Dave was a Police Officer in the Village of Maybrook, graduating from the first Police Officer training class in Orange County. He was a long-time coach of the Cardinals for the Maybrook Little League. Dave proudly served his country during the Vietnam war attaining rank of Corporal, he was an explosives expert. He loved military history, watching old western and war movies, a voracious reader and loved making doll houses. Dave was an avid fisherman, belonging to Orange Lake Fish & Game Association.
Dave is survived by his son David and his wife Doreen, niece Julia Moccia, his two “grandchildren” Justin, Sarah and their father Sean, along with several cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rosemarie, parents Aileen & Carmen Panaro, sister Carole Moccia, brother Carmen Panaro, Jr, Aunt & Uncle Allen & Rose Abrahams.
Services will be private. Entombment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, where he will spend eternity with his wife Rosemarie.
