Kathleen M. Muir of Campbell Hall, NY passed away on April 18, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 85. She was the wife of the late Richard L. “Red” Muir. Kathleen was born on December 7, 1939 in Washingtonville, NY to the late Frank and Mary Meore Decker. She was an longtime active parishioner of Assumption Church in Maybrook and was recently a member of the Most Precious Blood Parish in Walden. Kathleen was a member of the Catholic Daughters, several bowling leagues and the Hamptonburgh Seniors. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Martin Muir of Clayton, N.C.; daughter, Pamela Fitzpatrick (Alexander Ritter) of Montgomery, NY; six grandchildren, Danielle, Ian, Shannon, Andrew, Nicholas and Kristin; four great grandchildren, Aidan, Erin, Eisley and Callan; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son; Andrew Muir; brother, Frank Decker Jr.; sister, Betty-Jo Gordon; and her parents.
