Obituary of Sylvia L Petrilli

Sylvia L. Petrilli of Newburgh, NY Was embraced by the loving arms of her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on early Sunday morning March 23, 2025. She was 90. Sylvia was born on April 28, 1934, in Newburgh to the late Michael DiNardo and Josephine Bello. She was married to her loving husband the late Frank Petrilli. Predeceased by her sister and best friend Dolores Vernol. Sylvia was survived by her children; Joy Otto of Newburgh, Jacquelyn Reid and her husband Thomas of Newburgh, William M. Petrilli and his wife Carol of Maybrook and Frank E. Petrilli and his wife Debbie of Newburgh, her brother, Michael DiNardo and his wife Vicki of Sarasota, FL.; sister-in-law, Carol Petrilli-Stephens of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Rebecca, Amber, T.J., Kimberly, Diane, Michael, Nicole, Samantha, Selena and Jianna; great grandchildren, August, Madison, Tyler, Natalie, Parker, Melody, Lina, Jane and James; several nieces and nephews. Family statement reads, " Sylvia, Loved by God , family , friends and her church family, She left a lasting impact with her loving heart and gracious encouragement. Her home was always open to all and Sylvia love to share her favorite Italian dishes; Cavatelli, Braciole, Pasta Fagioli and out of this world meat loaf! She loved company and having a good laugh were her greatest joys. Also going to Mary`s beauty shop to have her hair done! Her passion without question was her Love for Jesus! Sylvia had many Bibles; each one had markings and notes. Always in church on Sundays and every morning watching a sermon on tv. She was quick to share Christ and tell folks they needed to be in church. She was instrumental in getting a Church service at Sapphire nursing home. We will miss her dearly, but we rejoice in the fact that she is at home with the Lord." Services will be held at the Northwind Church of God, 4 Scofield Street Walden, NY 12586 on Sunday March 30, 2025, starting at 1PM. There will be a reception to follow at the Church.
