Bruce Alan McLaughlin of Pine Bush, NY passed away on November 21, 2018 at James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. The son of the late Harry and Ethel Ronk McLaughlin, he was born on July 30, 1957 in Newburgh, NY. He was 61 years old. Bruce was a Sergeant in the Army serving in Kuwait. He worked for Spence Engineering in Walden for many years and drove a school bus for the Pine Bush Central School District. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and riding his Harley Davidson. Many will remember Bruce enjoying a few beers on his porch with his cousin, LeRoy, on Friday nights. Survivors include his brothers, Harry T. McLaughlin Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Walden, NY, Joseph W. McLaughlin and his wife, Patty, of Walden, NY; sisters, Julia A. Barrett of Pine Bush, NY, Sandra Wood of Kerhonkson, NY, Donna J. Wisniewski and her husband, John, of Harrisburg, NC; cousin, LeRoy Steinhilber of Pine Bush, NY; several nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his brother, Timothy Mark McLaughlin. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 30th from 10-11 a.m. at the Walden Baptist Church, 38 Bank St. Walden, NY 12586. Services will begin at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial of cremains will follow in the Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery in Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made in Bruce’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
